MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The women’s swimming team from Arcadia University suffered a defeat against non-conference rival Millersville University 87-165 on Friday afternoon. 

The Knights achieved 10 personal best times across six different athletes.

EVENT SUMMARY

– The 200-yd medley relay team consisting of Mikayla Scardino, Katherine Pastva, Olivia Hyde, and Gigi Brown placed second with a record of 1:58.46. 

– Pastva secured first place in the 200-yd individual medley with a seasonal best of 2:27.30. She also achieved her season best times in the 1000-yd freestyle (11:56.28) and the 500-yd freestyle (5:43.87), improving by over three seconds in the 1000 and 14.44 seconds in the 500. 

Kylie Perry improved by 2.15 seconds from her prior season best in the 100-yd backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:11.70 in today’s competition. 

Kayleigh Kennedy set a personal record in the 200-yd individual medley with a time of 2:30.7, decreasing her previous best by 1.11 seconds. She also achieved a season best in the 50-yd freestyle by .60 seconds (30.45). 

Emma Kury shaved .14 seconds off her best 100-yd breaststroke time this season, clocking in at 1:22.18. Additionally, she recorded a seasonal best in the 50-yd breaststroke time of 37.87, improving by .85 seconds. 

Brooke Boyd completed the 50-yd freestyle in 29.45, which was 1.88 seconds quicker than her previous best time for the season. 

Emily Soliman achieved a time of 43.98, resulting in a .79 second improvement from her prior season best.

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, January 18th, as they travel to Widener for a conference meet at 1:00pm.
