Broncos Nation Rallies in Buffalo: A Cross-Country Pilgrimage for Playoff Glory!

Step inside the iconic Anchor Bar in downtown Buffalo, the birthplace of the original Buffalo wing, and it doesn’t take long to notice some familiar faces donned in orange and blue.

“This was the first stop. Checked into the hotel and came straight here,” remarked Cody Beiriger, a Broncos enthusiast who arrived from Florida.

Jim Sullivan, who was raised in New York but relocated to Colorado 23 years ago, has returned to his home state this weekend ready to cheer for his adopted team.

“Tickets are much more affordable than in Miami, so it’s fantastic to come back and enjoy some delicious wings,” stated Sullivan.

On a typical weekend with a Bills home match, Anchor Bar prepares 10 to 12 tons of wings.

Manager Kaylene Dunning is accustomed to Anchor Bar being overflowing with visiting supporters.

“I did notice that you seated Broncos fans on the patio,” remarked CBS Colorado News anchor Michael Spencer.

“Well, it wasn’t by design,” Dunning replied with a wink.

All part of the strategy and enjoyment of a Wild Card Weekend in Buffalo.

“How many Super Bowls has Buffalo won? I can’t recall. I don’t believe it’s very many,” Sullivan said with a grin.
