WORCESTER, Mass. – The Southern Connecticut men’s swimming and diving squad triumphed in their first competition of 2025 against Assumption, outpacing the Greyhounds 165 to 59.  

 

200 Yard Medley Relay 

The Owls’ “A” team of 200 Medley Relay, consisting of Kobe Dominguez, McAllistar Milne, Henry Velazquez, and Adam Fred, secured victory with a time of 1:39.43. In second place was the “B” team featuring Austin Roney, Ben Frazer, Jack Fry, and Franklin Kuhn, finishing in 1:40.54.  

1650 Yard Freestyle 

Aiden Kennedy placed first in the 1650 Free for the Owls, clocking in at 17:03.30. Following him was Samir Souidi in second with a time of 17.16.37, and James Custer came in third at 17:57.61.  

200 Yard Freestyle 

Ben Frazer achieved victory in the 200 Free with a time of 1:48.72. Lucas Quiroga finished second at 1:50.53, and Zachary Krantz came in fourth at 2:00.17.  

100 Yard Backstroke 

In the 100 Back, the leading finisher was McAllistar Milne, who claimed victory with a time of 54.14. Franklin Kuhn took second with a time of 56.55, and Kris Janney secured fourth place at 1:00.03.  

100 Yard Breaststroke 

Kobe Dominguez triumphed in the 100 Breast with a time of 59.75. Milne placed third clocking in at 1:07.76, while Janney finished fifth at 1:11.34.  

200 Yard Butterfly 

In the 200 Fly, Drew Ladner clinched first place at 2:04.75. Richie Hall finished second with a time of 2:06.05, while Nick Zerva took fourth with a time of 2:16.74.  

50 Yard Free 

The Owls dominated the top three positions in the 50 Free, with Adam Fred finishing first at 22.51. Jack Fry came in second, while Travis Scott rounded out the top three in times of 22.71 and 23.22, respectively.  

100 Yard Freestyle 

Henry Velazquez achieved victory in the 100 Free with a time of 49.87. Fred participated in exhibition and recorded the second fastest time at 50.93 but did not earn any points.  

200 Yard Backstroke 

Austin Roney claimed victory in the 200 Back with a time of 2:02.08. Drew Ladner swam in exhibition and recorded the second fastest time of 2:13.68.  

200 Yard Breaststroke 

Krantz won the 200 Breast with a time of 2:26.07. Hall swam in exhibition, recording the fastest time of 2:21.30 in the race.  

500 Yard Freestyle 

Zerva clinched the 500 Free with a time of 5:27.78. Quiroga achieved the fastest time in the event but earned no points since he swam in exhibition. Franklin Kuhn had the second quickest time at 5:06.52.  

100 Yard Butterfly 

Jacob Tanner secured the 100 Fly title with a time of 56.34. McAllistar Milne swam in exhibition and recorded the fastest time in the event at 52.94.  

200 Yard Individual Medley 

All Owls swam in exhibition during the 200 IM, where they also recorded the top two times. Dominguez posted the fastest time at 2:02.79, while Velazquez followed closely at 2:04.17.  

200 Yard Freestyle Relay 

Though the Owls swam in exhibition, they achieved the fastest time in the 200 Free Relay at 1:28.58, comprised of Frazer, Fry, Ladner, and Kuhn.

The Owls are set to return to Massachusetts on Sunday, Jan. 19 to compete against Bentley.
