This was certainly an enjoyable, Epic Weekend. I truly experienced great joy during the ski season here in Jersey, getting to observe skiers and snowboarders from my deck. The slopes were overcrowded this weekend! It was a delight to see so many individuals enjoying themselves on my mountain over at Mountain Creek. Granite Peak was indeed lively. On Friday evening, I was able to give my dear friend Artie a shoutout on my radio program for his birthday weekend. I also managed to give a lovely shoutout to his granddaughter during my mention as well. I shared the MP3 with Artie, who subsequently shared it with his daughters. I’m glad we started their weekend off on a high note!

I then made my way to visit friends Jasen and Brendan, who were entertaining our pals Christine, Chris, and Carrie. Christine prepared a fantastic charcuterie board, as always. It transformed into a lively karaoke gathering, which was just what we needed for a Friday night after a taxing week at work. While the holidays can be wonderful, I’m grateful that it’s simpler to catch up with friends now that those festive times have passed.

On Saturday morning, I journeyed down 23 to Target in Riverdale for some quick errands. I then indulged in Jimmy Geez and devoured some scrumptious buffalo wings that had spicy garlic. I shed happy tears; those spicy wings left me all heated. Loved it!

I was then able to meet up with a friend and enjoy a delightful snack at Industry Kitchen & Bar in Sparta. We shared tasty crispy brussels sprouts! You can check out the menu here. I savored a delightful Smoke & Embers drink to accompany it. Whiskey beverages that are lit on fire can be quite entertaining! We then enjoyed a laid-back afternoon at Crystal Springs Crystal Tavern. I was able to secure a cozy spot right by the fireplace.

On Saturday night, we had an enjoyable evening at Crystal Springs Kite’s with pals Jasen and Brendan. There were plenty of laughs with friends, what a success!

Sunday afternoon proved to be the ideal moment to watch playoff football with friends at The Irish Cottage Inn in Franklin. It was Artie’s birthday, and our friends at The Cottage surprised him with a round of Happy Birthday and a scrumptious dessert! It was essentially a large doughnut adorned with cinnamon, ice cream, and whipped cream. Even I indulged with a few bites of that delicious birthday dessert.

I had a fantastic time with close friends Artie, George, Paul M, Buckeye Paul, Roy, and others. Our friends John and Dale were also having a great time hanging out. John pointed out how wonderful it is to have the friendships we share. Throughout the afternoon, we were playfully teasing each other and cracking each other up, all while watching playoff football in the background.

All in all, it was an enjoyable winter weekend in Jersey, or as I fondly refer to my place, “Ski Country!” Time to start organizing next weekend leading up to Martin Luther King Day. Speaking of which, we’ll post my Epic Weekend In Pictures on Tuesday after the holiday weekend. Thank you!
