CES 2025: While the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas displayed some of the most groundbreaking and state-of-the-art technology and products globally, it also featured its quirky elements. Therefore, as CES 2025 comes to a close, here are five gadgets that illuminated the fun, strange, and utterly bizarre aspects of technology at the exhibition:

Nékojita FuFu: Coffee-Cooling Cute Cat

Undoubtedly the most adorable gadget of the exhibition, the Nékojita FuFu from Yukai Engineering in Japan added a significant dose of awwww to the process of cooling down overly hot coffee. Shaped like a small cat, it is dubbed a personal meal companion and houses a fan within.

What is its function? Simply place it on the rim of your coffee or tea cup, and it will blow a gentle breeze to cool the beverage down, allowing you to enjoy it without burning your tongue.

The Nékojita FuFu features various breathing modes such as “the Princess” (graceful, slow, and steady breaths) and “Look at that” (beginning slow but escalating in strength) to enhance its lifelike appearance. Sure, we could blow on our coffee ourselves, but this seems to be a purrfect alternative.

Roborock Saros Z70: Truly ‘Handy’ Vacuum Cleaner

This year in Vegas, there was an abundance of vacuum cleaners and home cleaning helpers, but the Roborock Saros Z70 stood out. Why? Because it was armed. Literally. This vacuum cleaner not only clears up dirt and debris from the floors but is also equipped with a “foldable, five-axis mechanical arm,” or, simply put, an extendable mechanical grabbing arm concealed within the top of the device.

This arm, known as the OmniGrip, includes precision sensors, a camera, and an LED light, enabling it to “see” its environment and recognize objects, with a little aid from AI.

While the Saros Z70 eliminates dust and debris, the OmniGrip can retrieve any objects on the floor, such as socks and shoes, and even place them in designated locations (like a laundry basket or a shelf). This is an innovative cutlery piece with salty enchantment integrated into it. Created for individuals who have been advised to reduce their salt consumption (like those dealing with high blood pressure or hypertension), the Kirin Electric Salt Spoon utilizes unique waveform technology that can substantially amplify the perceived saltiness of food by nearly 1.5 times by sending currents from the spoon to your taste buds.

Put simply, even mildly seasoned dishes can taste salty when using this spoon. Hence, if you need to adhere to a low-sodium diet, this utensil allows you to enjoy bland meals without losing that beloved salty flavor.

Some might have concerns about electric currents in their mouths, but rest assured, it is a very low amount and completely safe. Health technology has received several enhancements thanks to this clever gadget.

Lenovo AdaptX Mouse: Mouse for Cool (Tech) Cats

For many of us, a mouse (in the tech context, rather than the animal one) serves as a pointing and navigation device, featuring clickable buttons, a scroll wheel, and some customizable settings. The Lenovo AdaptX Mouse that roamed throughout CES 2025 encompassed all of that, and so much more.

A modular device concept developed by Lenovo, the AdaptX Mouse consists of interchangeable components that can be added or detached to completely alter its functionality. At its simplest, it is a sleek, compact Bluetooth mouse.

However, thanks to various shells, it can perform even more. A standard shell offers a more substantial grip for those instances when a larger mouse is desired, another shell boosts its battery capacity while also enabling it to function as a power bank for your phone, yet another modification allows storage for small items like SD cards and SIM cards, and an additional mod transforms it into a Type-C hub with USB-A and HDMI outputs for your computer.
