NEW YORK – Brown women’s swimming and diving made a return to the pool with a 194-106 triumph over Columbia on Tuesday night (Jan. 14). The Bears concluded the evening with 12 victories and Jenna Reznicek established a Percy Uris Natatorium record in the 200 backstroke.

Brown secured its third Ivy win of the season and commenced the evening with a victory in the 200 medley relay by the squad consisting of Jenna Reznicek, Ellie Brault, Zehra Bilgin, and Audrey Chung with a time of 1:41.69.

Crystal Yuen claimed victory in the 1000 freestyle, registering a time of 9:55.01. Yuen’s second victory of the night arrived in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:50.50. Additionally, Yuen placed second in the 50 free with a time of 23.27.

The Bears claimed the first three spots in the 200 freestyle as Kelly Dolce earned the victory with 1:49.13. Anna Podurgiel finished in second place (1:50.38), while Livia Venditti rounded out the top three (1:51.14).

Another clean sweep occurred in the 100 backstroke with Reznicek taking the lead (54.06), trailed by Nadia Thomas (55.62) and Lily Welsh (55.77).

Brown also achieved a sweep in the 200 backstroke, with Reznicek securing her second individual victory of the night with a pool record time of 1:57.83. Venditti was second (1:58.57) and Thomas followed in third (1:59.56).

Amie Barrow won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:15.85, while Kaitlyn Holmes placed second in the event, finishing with a time of 2:18.72. In the 100 breaststroke, Barrow took second place (1:03.39) and Catherine Yu finished third (1:03.42).

Bilgin achieved first place in the 200 butterfly, finishing in 1:59.27.

Dolce placed second in the 100 free (50.05), succeeded by Lily Klinginsmith (50.86).

Klinginsmith triumphed in the 100 fly with a time of 54.19, followed by Bilgin, who finished with a time of 54.55.

Podurgiel took the win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.53.

In diving, Bowie Krawczyk secured a win in the 1-meter event by scoring 283.73.

The Bears concluded the evening with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay led by the team of Yuen, Dolce, Klinginsmith, and Bilgin, finishing with a time of 3:22.68.
