LOUISVILLE, KY. – Head coach Will Davis today revealed the 2025 segment of the Bellarmine University men’s tennis calendar.
After a hectic fall that concluded with a remarkable performance by senior Jack Batchelor and junior Matthew Nice at the ITA Conference Masters Championships, the Bellarmine men’s tennis team is ready for a demanding spring schedule.
The Knights have 17 contests on their 2025 itinerary, seven of which will take place at home at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex. Out of the remaining ten matches, two will be played at neutral locations, while eight will be genuine road tests. BU’s schedule showcases a near equal split between conference and non-conference rivals, with eight matches against Atlantic Sun Conference teams and nine against non-conference foes.
Bellarmine will commence the second half of its season on the road from January 18-19, competing against the University of Nebraska and the University of Nebraska at Omaha at Nebraska’s Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center. The Knights will first contest the Cornhuskers on Saturday the 18th, followed by a match against the Mavericks on the 19th.
After this initial road trip, BU will return home for its first home encounters of the season, welcoming Furman University on January 26th and the University of the Cumberlands on January 31st.
Following this brief homestand, Bellarmine will start February with another road trip, this time heading to Grand Forks, ND, for two matches, the first against the University of North Dakota on February 14th. The Knights will also compete at NoDak’s Choice Health & Fitness Center on February 15th against an opponent to be determined later. The subsequent weekend, Bellarmine will take a short trip to Cincinnati, OH for a match against Xavier University on February 23rd.
BU will then kick off March with a home match against Centre College on March 1st.
After this contest, the Knights will pivot to ASUN action, first traveling to Nashville, TN for a matchup with Lipscomb on March 14th. Following that, Bellarmine will return to Louisville for its inaugural home ASUN match, hosting North Alabama on March 16th. The Knights will then hit the road once again, heading to Jacksonville, FL for a clash with North Florida on March 21st.
After the extended back-and-forth start to March, Bellarmine wraps up the month with its longest home stretch of the season, competing in four consecutive matches in Louisville, three of which will be at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex. This homestand begins on March 23rd with the briefest “road” trip of the season as the Knights face off against crosstown rival Louisville. From there, Bellarmine will participate in three consecutive ASUN matches on its home courts against Queens on March 28th, Eastern Kentucky on March 30th, and Austin Peay on April 2nd.
Lastly, the Knights will finish the regular season away, competing at Florida Gulf Coast on April 11th and at Stetson on April 13th.
