For the last 17 years, Melissa “Joni” Weaver has been instructing science to students in middle school. Although the subjects in science can be intellectually demanding and occasionally monotonous, Weaver expressed her delight in incorporating enjoyment into her teaching.

Joni Weaver has been recognized as King Middle School’s educator of the year. She teaches science to seventh and eighth graders.
