Psychologists and philosophers have provided substantial and at times unsettling evaluations of the implications of violence in video games. These perspectives can aid in sharpening and refining our critique of violent gaming. In both psychological and philosophical discussions, I aim to give an overview of the contours of the debate while emphasizing some of the most persuasive arguments. I will contend that although none of these assessments permit an all-encompassing denouncement of violent video games, numerous inquiries they raise about video game violence are challenging to answer.

This event will be especially beneficial for those with a general interest in the philosophy of education and particularly those focused on issues related to technology in education.

Kindly note this is a hybrid event that can be attended either in-person or virtually. To reserve your spot, please email Yuxin Su: stnvysu@ucl.ac.uk.

These seminars are facilitated by both national and international experts in the field, addressing a broad spectrum of educational and philosophical topics.

Everyone is invited to participate.
