DeKalb Teams Triumph in Restoring Water Services After Major Main Break on Clairmont Road

Crews from the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management have finalized repairs to a 30” burst water main located at 3661 Clairmont Road. 

“We are thrilled to inform that the water main fracture has been fixed,” stated DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson. “When undertaking a project of this scale, whatever challenges arise, you must address them as they occur.”

As service is reinstated, customers in the impacted region may notice brown, murky or discolored water and are advised to run the taps both inside and outside of their properties to purge the internal plumbing.

A boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice.

o    RaceTrac – 3630 Clairmont Rd.

A detour is still in effect and drivers are urged to steer clear of the area if possible and expect delays.
