Anyone who has recently searched for a desktop audio solution, whether for headphones or speakers, has likely come across Fosi Audio. Founded in 2017, this Asian audio manufacturer has been actively promoting its excellent value products worldwide, to the point where I have encountered multiple advertisements and reviews for Fosi items in recent months, even while I wasn’t in the market for one. I then discovered the Fosi Audio booth during the Shenzhen International Audio Show, where representatives from the company were presenting a forthcoming product that garnered significant attention from attendees. In fact, there was so much interest that I struggled to find an opportunity and an open spot to try it myself. Fortunately, Fosi Audio contacted TechPowerUp to determine if we would be keen on examining this particular product that was about to launch.

Today we delve deeper into the new Fosi Audio K7, which should not be mistaken for the FiiO K7—the two brands appear to have similar product designations! This is a gaming desktop DAC/headphone amplifier that also features a microphone input, essentially making it more of an audio interface designed for gamers to utilize with standalone headphones and mics, or even headsets connected via analog outputs. The Fosi Audio K7 is set to take the Kickstarter route for its debut, offering a set of features that is quite exceptional for this price tier. There exists a diverse range of I/O options along with ample power suitable for demanding headphones, alongside independent volume controls for both headphones and microphones. Additionally, the K7 includes onboard bass and treble EQ to allow users to customize the sound profile of their headphones according to their tastes.
