Commerce City — The Colorado Department of Transportation encourages the community to gain insights about the ongoing I-270 Corridor Improvements initiative by participating in any of the four forthcoming in-person and virtual gatherings.

Two open houses will take place at the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center in Commerce City, while two additional meetings will occur online during the final week of January and the beginning week of February. Identical information will be presented at all four sessions, and attendees will have the opportunity to share their feedback at each meeting.

In-person open houses at Eagle Pointe Recreation Center (6060 Parkway Drive, Commerce City, CO 80022):

  • Wednesday, Jan. 29, 5 to 8 p.m.

  • Saturday, Feb. 1, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Virtual open houses (bit.ly/i270webinar):

  • Thursday, Jan. 30, 6 to 7 p.m.

  • Tuesday, Feb. 4, 6 to 7 p.m.

CDOT and the Federal Highway Administration have filed a Notice of Intent (NOI) to seek public comments and notify the community, agencies, and stakeholders that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is set to be developed for transport upgrades to the I-270 Corridor. Construction is expected to commence in late 2026.

All meetings will feature Spanish and American Sign Language interpretation services, and the in-person open houses will offer food and refreshments along with activities for children.
