We apologize for the repercussions caused by the burst water main at our Bryn Cowlyd Water Treatment Works in Dolgarrog.

Welsh Water will provide compensation of £75 to each business impacted by the “burst water” for every 12-hour period during which their supplies were disrupted.

Moreover, Welsh Water has committed to offering goodwill contributions to each business customer to assist with specific costs or loss of gross profit.

Eligibility Requirements

Your business must satisfy the following requirements to qualify for a goodwill contribution payment.

• You must be a business customer who has been directly impacted by the burst water main at our Bryn Cowlyd Water Treatment Works.
• Your business must be stationary at the location of the application, e.g., not a mobile or visiting entity, including taxi services.
• Your company should be registered with HMRC.

The discretion over eligibility for a goodwill contribution and any contributions made lies with Welsh Water.

Businesses that are affected have the responsibility to take all reasonable measures to reduce their costs or loss of gross profit.
