No. 14 Women’s Swimming and Diving Faces Off Against DI Rival IU Indy in Tough Matchup

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 14 Washington University in St. Louis women’s swimming and diving team was narrowly defeated by Division I IU Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon, 196.00-101.00.
 
Before the competition, the Bears acknowledged their graduating class – Isabella Barrientos, Caroline DeLuca, Rin Iimi, Alice Mao, Noa Miller, Riya Sahota and Roslyn Tischke along with graduate student Abbey Mink.

  • Sophomore Shanze Karimi took third place with a score of 243.55
  • First-year Kate Li completed fourth with 224.60 points
  • Sophomore Madi Okon took fifth with a score of 221.90
  • Senior Noa Miller placed seventh with 180.40 points

  • Iimi secured third with a time of 54.32
  • Qi came in fourth at 54.58

  • Watson emerged victorious with a time of 59.96

  • Karimi came in second with a score of 244.50
  • Okon finished fourth with 228.15 points
  • Li placed fifth with a score of 212.70
    
     

• 200 IM

  • Iimi took second with a time of 2:13.29
  • Sandor finished fifth in 2:15.71
    
     

• 200 Freestyle Relay

  • The quartet of Leng, sophomore Izzie Gattone, Qi and freshman Maddie Sammut achieved second place in 1:39.45
  • Basler, Bello, Sahota, and Iimi completed fourth in 1:42.16
