SALISBURY, Md. – The start of the new year failed to slow down the Salisbury University women’s swimming squad, who returned to competition by breaking 11 pool records and achieving their 14th straight home dual victory, 226-72 against the Stevens Ducks, on Friday afternoon at Maggs Pool.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Sydney McCallie spearheaded the team with four gold medals, securing individual titles in the 100-meter backstroke (1:05.67) and 400-meter individual medley (4:59.96).
- Mackenzie Gula won three golds and one silver, triumphing in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.01) and 200-meter individual medley (2:22.42).
- Sadie Hebert secured five medals, clinching gold in the 200-meter butterfly (2:25.02), silver in the 100-meter backstroke (1:06.80), and bronze in the 100-meter butterfly (1:05.72).
- Alexa Hilty earned medals in three events, achieving gold in the 100-meter freestyle (1:01.00) and silver in the 50-meter freestyle (27.72).
