Capture the Moment: Join Walsworth’s 2025 Photo Contest for Your Shot at Great Prizes!

Throughout the years, we have witnessed astonishing photographs contributed from coast to coast by yearbook photographers, and we are eager to discover what this year will unveil. The 2025 photo contest is nearly upon us, providing an opportunity to win a $250 Visa gift card in each of our 10 categories! 

The competition kicks off on Monday, February 24, and continues until Friday, March 28, and it is accessible to both Walsworth and non-Walsworth institutions. Students may submit up to five photographs in total across 10 categories, outlined below. 

Categories: 

• Academics – Capture the essence of education in action at your school.  

• College and University – We’re eager to view the top examples of any genre captured by a student at a college or university.  

• Clubs and Student Life –Document the events and experiences that students share throughout the academic year. 

• Feature/Portrait – Illustrate a person’s emotions or a glimpse of their character using facial expressions and feelings as the focal point. 

• Junior High/Middle School – We seek the finest photographs of any style taken by a junior high or middle school attendee.  

• Performing Arts – Dive into music, dance, theater, and much more! Showcase the lively creativity of performing arts within your institution.  

• Sports Action – Freeze moments of athletes in motion. We desire to see outstanding action pictures during practice or at the game/event.  

• Sports Reaction – Highlight the emotions of spectators or athletes’ responses to significant moments in the game/event. 

• School Spirit –Faces painted, audience snapshots, pep rallies; share how your students embody their school spirit! 

• Yearbook Life – Capture the yearbook creators in action. Team members accomplishing their daily tasks of yearbook existence both inside and outside the classroom – interviews taking place, photographers snapping shots, mentors instructing, and even activities during deadline periods!  

Entries for this year’s competition can be submitted at walsworthyearbooks.com/photocontest. 

A committee of professionals will evaluate all submissions, and victors along with notable mentions will be selected according to the fundamental principles of photography, overall excellence, and creativity/originality. 

Winners in this year’s competition will be informed by April 30.
