CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – During the week 15 selection of weekly accolades for the 2024-25 Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming & Diving campaign, North Carolina’s Ben Delmar was recognized as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, whereas California’s Joshua Thai received the title of Men’s Diver of the Week. Cal’s Isabella Stadden was honored as Women’s Swimmer of the Week, and North Carolina’s Aranza Vázquez Montaño was awarded Women’s Diver of the Week.

ACC MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Ben Delmar, North Carolina, So., Charlotte, North Carolina

Delmar has been awarded the ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for the second occasion this season after an extraordinary record-setting weekend against No. 6 NC State. The sophomore hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, secured two top finishes in the 100 breast (51.44) and the 200 breast (1:51.84), both of which established new program records for the Tar Heels. Delmar also claimed a third-place position in the 200 IM (1:46.44) and assisted in setting yet another school record in the 200 medley with a time of 1:23.26.
 
ACC MEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Joshua Thai, Cal, Jr., Alhambra, California
Thai achieved his second ACC Men’s Diver of the Week honor of the season following three podium finishes in the Cal Diving Invitational last weekend. The junior from Alhambra, California, earned first place with a score of 357.00, third in the 1-meter with a score of 350.80, and third in the 3-meter with a score of 386.50.
 
ACC WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Isabella Stadden, California, Sr., Blaine, Minnesota

Stadden recorded three first-place finishes in No. 10 Cal’s victories over No. 18 USC and No. 24 UCLA. The senior clinched first place in the 100 back (50.26), 200 back (1:49.96), and 100 fly (52.19). The native of Blaine, Minnesota, additionally placed second in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.99. This marks Stadden’s second ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week accolade of the season.
 
ACC WOMEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK

Aranza Vázquez Montaño, North Carolina, Gr., La Paz, New Mexico

Vázquez Montaño has been recognized as the ACC Women’s Diver of the Week for the third consecutive week and the fourth time this season. The La Paz, Mexico, native achieved two first-place finishes last week for the Tar Heels. In the 1-meter, Vázquez Montaño scored 315.60 before turning around to score 339.30 in the 3-meter. Vázquez Montaño now possesses 18 ACC Women’s Diver of the Week awards in her career, the most in ACC Women’s Diving history.
