COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada sophomore Scarlett Ferris has been recognized as the Mountain West Swimmer of the Week, while her teammates Bailey Heydra and Keira-Lee Allott received accolades as the MW Diver of the Week and the MW Freshman of the Week, respectively.  

 

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK 

SCARLETT FERRIS, NEVADA 

Sophomore, Fife, Scotland/Bell Baxter HS 

  • Achieved first place in every event she participated in. 
  • Secured first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.65, which ranks third in the Conference and breaks a 25-year-old school record. 
  • Finished first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.50, meeting the NCAA women’s provisional standard. 
  • Participated in the victorious 200-yard medley relay that clocked a time of 1:39.99. 

 

DIVER OF THE WEEK 

BAILEY HEYDRA, NEVADA 

Junior, Johannesburg, South Africa, St. Stithians 

  • Contributed to the Wolf Pack’s triumph in a dual meet against their conference rival UNLV. 
  • Achieved a score of 306.00 in the 1-meter springboard, exceeding the NCAA Diving Zone standard. 
  • In the 3-meter springboard, she garnered a score of 352.88, surpassing the NCAA Diving Zone standard.  

 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK 

KEIRA-LEE ALLOTT, NEVADA

  • Achieved second place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:57.42.
