Charming Lifestyle Newborn Portraits for Your Baby Girl in Charlotte

Oh Baby Lillian! Have you encountered a cuter face this week? I doubt it!! This entire afternoon was filled with the most beautiful smiles and affection – and delightful cocktails (more on that soon)! Joyful parents, Marice and Robbie, made this SUCH an enjoyable session; it didn’t feel like work even for a second!

Marice actually discovered me when she was a wedding guest! She attended Caroline and Jared’s beautiful wedding at the Governor Thomas Bennett House a few summers back, and that’s where our journey began. Fast forward to their first little miracle, Lillian! She was indeed a miracle baby, and they are just SO thrilled to have her in their lives!

Both Marice and Robbie are avid travelers, which is evident in Lillian’s nursery decorations. They had the most adorable prints above Lillian’s crib depicting art in the form of a little girl’s dress; however, upon closer inspection, you’ll notice that the dress print is actually a map of Italy and Paris! They even had her first travel trunk – pink, naturally.

The Non-Resident Bar

Beyond their travel adventures, this couple also enjoys a great drink… Thus, they decided to create their own bar in their home, aptly named the Non-Resident. It’s quite a favorite among family, friends, and neighbors – it even boasts its own Instagram! They even designed their own custom menus for it, inspired by all the destinations they’ve explored. So when it was time for their in-home newborn session, we knew this place was a must on the list. Marice and Robbie also created a little sign that says “the new resident, Lillian Sawgrass has joined” which was really unique and meaningful to them.

At the conclusion of our session, we captured a photo of them sitting in front of their house. This was another significant moment, as they took the exact same snapshot when they first moved into the house with just the two of them. We had a great time recreating it with the new addition of Lily cradled in her arms. I mean, how can you not get emotional at such a touching and memorable idea?!

All in all, this was an incredibly love-filled day. It concluded with Marice, Robbie, and myself sitting around the Non-Resident with glasses of champagne! I think we spent nearly an hour afterward laughing and getting to know each other better. I am so thankful to have met Marice all those years ago and am genuinely delighted for them with Lillian’s arrival. Here’s to many more years filled with laughter & fabulous cocktails!
