In your role as a License Designer within our Homeware and Lifestyle team, you will be responsible for identifying and applying departmental trends. Working closely with other product designers across the organization, you will craft fashionable, commercially viable, and globally inspired collections that resonate with the Primark identity. You will advocate for the introduction of innovative new product prospects.

Your collaboration with Buying and Merchandising teams will be key to developing products that will astonish and please our customers while staying commercially pertinent. You will establish effective lines of communication with stakeholders during critical range development meetings, ensuring that the Design community’s vision and objectives are conveyed.

What You’ll Accomplish
We want you to feel both stimulated and inspired. Here, you’ll refine your abilities across a variety of tasks:

• Responsible for identifying and applying trends for Primark’s Homeware and Lifestyle License range
• Carefully investigate colour/trend directions and designs. Prepare trend data “in looks” along with commodity shape libraries
• Deliver trend forecasts via mood and trend boards to Buying, Merchandising, and Design Leadership
• Accountable for making sound, commercially viable choices regarding range development for approval at leadership levels, supporting the execution of product ranges.
• Oversee and guide a team of Junior Designers
• Work collaboratively with fellow product designers across the organization to forge fashionable, commercially relevant global collections aligned with the Primark brand.

What You’ll Contribute
We desire for every individual within our organization to feel that they are making an essential impact. Listed are some of the experiences and competencies you’ll need for the position:

• 5 years ofexperience in a Fashion Lifestyle or Home Retailer/Licensor/Licensee Business Design position with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership/people management role.
• Applicable qualification in fashion design or related field experience
• Extensive proficiency in Adobe Software such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Comprehensive insight into seasonal trends and the capability to translate them creatively and commercially in a dynamic environment
• Experience in developing and mentoring a team
