This weekend offers a plethora of exhilarating activities for Hockey Day Minnesota, and with so much winter excitement in store, you’re guaranteed to discover something to enjoy either indoors or outdoors (catch that?). The Weekender is here to assist you in refining your choices with some family activities.

Prepare a lunch of peanut butter sandwiches on Friday for the National Peanut Butter Day (do you prefer butter on your PB, or perhaps some bananas like Elvis does?) and embark on a road trip or remain local to enjoy some marshmallow goodies.

It’s a wonderful weekend to venture out with some milder weather (at last), and there’s plenty to engage in. The St. Paul Winter Carnival commences on Thursday with numerous activities ranging from ice fishing to treasure hunts, artistic ice castles to explore, and much more.

Nearby, enjoy the Bold & Bright event in downtown St. Cloud, featuring curling demonstrations on Lake George, a winter market, alluring llamas on West St. Germain Street, and marshmallow-themed treats.

If you prefer staying at home for some entertainment, channel your inner Michael Kelso from That 70s Show and play pranks on your family and friends this Saturday for National Opposite Day. Check out The Weekender’s suggestions, and if you wish to have your event featured, email us here.
