Woodside youth pictures contest

The city of Woodside in collaboration with the Woodside Arts ans Culture and Environment and Open Space Committees are sponsoring the primary Spirit of Woodside Photography Contest. Participants should be a resident of Woodside and between the ages of 5 to 18 years outdated.

The city encourages youth to seize their cameras and “capture what inspires you.” This can embrace the city’s trails, folks, pets, wildlife or something that makes the city particular.

The contest can be judged in three age teams by a panel of native judges . Finalists images can be exhibited at Town Hall through the Art and Culture Committees First Friday occasion on Nov. 7. Contest winners will obtain a certificates of recognition and can be featured in town’s web site.

All Five School’s new government director

All Five Schools in Menlo Park appointed Omi Lindsey as its new government director after the varsity board voted unanimously to pick out her. National night time out

Communities throughout the Peninsula are internet hosting occasions and block events for “National Night Out” on August 5. National Night Out is an annual group constructing marketing campaign that goals to advertise police partnership with the group to combat crime.

In Menlo Park, the police division encourages residents to host block events and register them with the division to have visits from the chief of police and members of the division. All occasions are open to the general public and may be considered on the town’s web site at menlopark.gov/Citywide-calendar/Community-events/National-Night-Out.

Atherton can be internet hosting an occasion at Holbrook Palmer Park from 6 p.m. to eight p.m.
