The Leica Galleries in Melbourne and Sydney have launched a joint exhibition that includes the work of photographers Steve McCurry and Australian photographer Jessie Brinkman Evans.

Part of Leica’s world In Conversation sequence, the exhibition pairs established and rising photographers in month-to-month exhibitions throughout twelve worldwide places, with the intention of mixing the work of photographers whose work enhances one another.

McCurry, recognized for his long-standing profession as a documentary photographer who captured the long-lasting picture Afghan Girl, contributed a number of images drawn from greater than 4 many years of labor.
His photos deal with shared human moments and cultural depth throughout various areas.

Responding to McCurry’s work, Brinkman Evans presents images from a distant Arctic neighborhood.
She says her photos discover the strain between cultural continuity and geographic isolation, highlighting each day life and emotional nuance throughout the neighborhood.
While balancing her time between creating editorial and documentary photos alongside purchasers starting from Visit Greenland, Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism, Conde Nast Traveller, and Broadsheet, she has spent almost a decade photographing the Arctic.

The exhibition is open now, and runs till November on the Leica Gallery Melbourne, 267 Little Collins St, and Leica Gallery Sydney, 455 George St.
