Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument is happy to be internet hosting Joyce Geier as this yr’s Artist-in-Residence! The park congratulates Joyce on her choice and is grateful for her devoted service to the park because the 2025 Photographer-in-Residence!

For the previous 5 weeks, Joyce has been busy exploring the park’s cultural and pure sources, together with the park’s pristine darkish skies. During her explorations, Joyce has been taking images and compiling a visually engaging photograph portfolio for the park. During her time at Salinas Pueblo Missions, Joyce has additionally led public program actions and supported the park’s group outreach efforts. For the July 25, 2025, Dark Sky Event hosted on the Abó Unit, Joyce led the Dark Sky Photography Workshop introducing guests to the guidelines and methods of Night Sky Photography. On September 6, 2025, Joyce will host a public program introducing the Basics of Outdoor Photography Workshop on the Quarai Unit. The Artist-in-Residence Program at Salinas Pueblo Missions is a partnership between the park and the Friends of Salinas Pueblo Missions (FSPM). The mission of FSPM is to advertise public assist for the care, preservation, and academic alternatives of Salinas Pueblo Missions.
