After a five-year hiatus as a result of COVID, the West Penn Lions Club resumed its in-person Senior Fun Day on the West Penn Park on a current Saturday.
Thirty senior residents from the world had been handled to free wellness screenings by the Mahoning Ambulance Association, a lunch that includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, rolls, drinks and cake. They performed bingo to win prizes donated by space eating places and companies.
There was additionally a cake stroll that includes truffles and different goodies donated by Lions Club members. DJ Lion Matt Uroskie performed music for everybody.
“We want to thank all our guests for joining us today,” mentioned Tina Dougherty, president of the West Penn Lions Club. “We also want to thank the Mahoning Ambulance Association for their help with the screenings.”
The West Penn Lions Club meets the primary and third Wednesday every month on the West Penn Community Park in summer season months and on the West Penn Township Annex in the course of the winter.
The membership is all the time accepting new members and neighborhood volunteers. Contact President Tina Dougherty at 570-516-4573 for extra info.
