NEW ORLEANS – App State senior Tucker Sangster was named to the inaugural All-Sun Belt Community Service Team, the league introduced Monday. The program goals to spotlight student-athletes who display a dedication to neighborhood service.
Last 12 months, the Odenton, Md. native logged 60 hours of service, dividing his time and efforts to numerous impactful avenues. Sangster volunteered with catastrophe reduction efforts within the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in partnership with NASCAR. In the winter, he assisted with Operation Christmas Child, which entails assembling shoe containers with items for youngsters in want. Additionally, Sangster has helped with canned meals drives and freshman move-in efforts.
Sangster and the Mountaineers will open the 2025 cross nation season on Friday with the Covered Bridge Open on the Don Kennedy Trails at State Farm. The ladies’s 5K is slated for 9:15 a.m. with the lads’s 8K to observe at 9:45 a.m.
