The winners of the 2025 ZWO Astronomy Photographer of the Year Award have been revealed, showcasing a spectacular choice of evening sky pictures that reveal the majesty of historical galaxies, nebulas, stellar cities and naturally, Earth’s moon.

Astrophotographers from throughout the globe submitted over 5,800 entries within the numerous classes for the seventeenth annual competitors hosted by the Royal Observatory Greenwich at the side of astronomy digital camera producer ZWO. The outcomes of the competition, as judged by a global panel of consultants, have been introduced in a livestreamed ceremony on Sept. 11.
