Worlds of Fun amusement park in Kansas City evacuated after sounds of gunfire

An amusement park in Missouri was evacuated following stories of potential gunfire, in keeping with the Kansas City Police Department.

An off-duty officer working on the Worlds of Fun theme park in Kansas City was notified round 9:10 p.m. by a patron who reported listening to what gave the impression of gunshots, KCTV5 reported.

Police from a number of businesses responded to the scene because of the giant variety of folks on the park, in keeping with KSHB.

Videos posted on social media present officers arriving with weapons drawn. However, the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) later confirmed that there was no proof of gunshots being fired.

Police acknowledged that officers needed to break up ‘a number of disturbances’ involving ‘a number of juveniles preventing.’

As evacuation orders have been issued, park guests have been seen fleeing the world, with many sharing movies and updates on-line because the scenario unfolded.

‘Oh my god. Everybody has to run, oh my god. C’mon everybody has to run. I’m so scared,’ one parkgoer posted on Facebook, as they ran by the frantic scene. 

No weapons have been discovered, and no accidents have been reported at the moment.

The supply of the noise stays unknown.

The evacuation comes on the opening evening of Worlds of Fun’s annual Halloween Haunt occasion.
