Terriers Sweep UMass Dartmouth Invite

DARTMOUTH, Mass. — The Boston University cross nation program recorded two first-place finishes on the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
 
The males completed with 60 factors of their 8K race, besting the subsequent staff by 38 locations to safe its first meet win of the yr.
 
Senior Tucker Bowerfind was the highest Terrier within the win, ending in 24:18.83 and taking third place behind two Holy Cross runners. Next throughout the road was Karsen Vesty, who posted a mark of 24:32.39, good for sixth place. Sophomore James American Horse notched an eighth-place end with a 24:42.78 mark and rounding out the highest 5 had been two freshmen: Justin Ruiz, who took 19^th with a 25:09.21 time, and Greg Poisson, who completed 24^th with a  25:14.83 mark.
 
On the ladies’s facet, the squad earned 35 factors to champion the 6K race.
 
Abby Waddington crossed the road in 21:15.83 to earn second place general. She was adopted by classmate Ola Szulska in fourth, who completed in 21:29.92. Junior Abi Hahn was the subsequent Terrier over the road, as she clocked a 21:42.78 time and earned seventh. Senior captain Samantha Seabury completed 10^th with a mark of 21:49.69 and the highest 5 was rounded out by junior Adrienne Buettner-Cable’s mark of 21:50.33, good for 12^th place.
 
Next up, the Terriers hit the highway for the Paul Short Run at Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. That race will run on Oct. 3, with the boys’s race kicking off at 11 a.m. and the ladies at 11:45 a.m.
