Booking.com’s Travel Trends 2025 report has some disturbing information for {couples}. More than 20% of travellers from APAC are planning to depart their companions at dwelling and embark on a solo journey in 2025.

The development marks a quest for “freedom, self-discovery, and meeting new people along the way”, the OTA says.

And the place will these solos journey? Nature-based escapes might be a giant attraction.

Travellers from China, India and Australia are listening to the decision of nature most clearly, while Thai and Singaporean travellers think about a calming vacation to be time spent with household.

• 77% of APAC travellers really feel optimistic about journey in 2025 with leisure and rejuvenation as major motivators.

• Across the area, eating emerges as the highest spending precedence for travellers. Notably, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japanese travellers establish themselves as essentially the most enthusiastic foodies.

• The Asia Pacific area stands out for its enthusiasm and readiness to harness AI’s potential in journey. According to Booking.com’s lately launched Global AI Sentiment Report, 95% of APAC shoppers specific pleasure about AI and on the subject of journey, 75% have used AI – exceeding the worldwide common of 64%.

• Asia Pacific households plan to increase their journey group and embrace intergenerational journey, creating alternatives for richer connections and shared experiences throughout generations.

• 47% of travellers highlighted the enjoyment of bonding and creating lasting reminiscences with family members, whereas 39% worth reconnecting with household they don’t usually meet.
