Dukes Picked to End Fifth in American Conference

IRVING, Texas – James Madison swim & dive was predicted to complete fifth within the American Conference in a vote by the league’s 9 coaches, as introduced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Rice was picked to defend its 2025 title, receiving 5 first-place votes for 59 factors. Liberty and FIU adopted Rice with two first-place votes every, respectively tallying 57 and 54 factors. JMU earned 34 factors, only one behind fourth-place Tulane (35). East Carolina (28), Marshall (28), FAU (15) and North Texas (14) rounded out the ballot.
 
The Dukes will probably be getting into their first season of competitors within the American in the course of the 2025-26 season. They are coming off back-to-back Sun Belt Conference titles, having received seven convention titles in eight seasons throughout three separate leagues.
 

JMU will open the season with a tri-meet hosted by La Salle that may also embody Drexel on Saturday, Oct. 18. The American Swimming & Diving Championships will happen in Greensboro, N.C. on the Greensboro Aquatics Center on Feb. 18-21.
