ACC Broadcasts Volleyball Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Pitt’s Olivia Babcock was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week whereas California’s Sophia Johnson earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Pitt’s Brooke Mosher garnered ACC Setter of the Week honors whereas Stanford’s Logan Parks was named ACC Freshman of the Week for matches performed September 22-28.

ACC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Olivia Babcock, Jr., Right Side Hitter, Pitt (Los Angeles, California)

• Totaled 51 kills, a mean of 5.67 kills per set in a pair of ranked wins over No. 11 SMU.
• Totaled a team-high 22 kills whereas hitting .400 on September 24.
• Recorded a season-best 29 kills whereas hitting .434 on September 28.
• Second ACC Offensive Player of the Week honor this season (August 25).

ACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sophia Johnson, Jr., DS/Libero, California (Wayzata, Minnesota)

• Recorded 37 complete digs, a mean of 5.29 digs per set.
• Led the court docket in each matches with 16 digs in opposition to Virginia Tech and 21 digs in opposition to Virginia to assist the Golden Bears go 2-0 to start convention play.
• Helped maintain Virginia to its lowest hitting share of the season (.016).
• Registered an ideal 1.000 on service receptions in opposition to Virginia Tech.

 
ACC SETTER OF THE WEEK
Brooke Mosher, R-Sr., Setter, Pitt (Waterloo, Wisconsin)

• Recorded 103 assists, a mean of 11.44 assists per set in two Top 15 wins over No. 11 SMU.
• Registered a season-high 5 service aces within the win in opposition to SMU on September 24.
• Notched a career-high 52 assists in opposition to the Mustangs on September 28 whereas main the Panthers to a .310 hitting share.

 
ACC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Logan Parks, Fr., Setter, Stanford (Overland Park, Kansas)

• Recorded 75 assists, a mean of 10.71 assists per set.
• Totaled 26 digs, 5 kills and three service aces.
• Set the Cardinal to a season-best .435 hitting share within the sweep over Virginia Tech on September 28.
• Registered her second double-double of the season with 33 assists and 15 digs in opposition to Virginia earlier than recording her third of the season with 42 assists and 11 digs in opposition to Virginia Tech.
