PREVIEW: Coyote Golf prepares to journey to Wichita State for Grier Jones Shocker Invitational

VERMILLION, S.D. – The South Dakota Men’s Golf workforce will ship seven golfers to compete in a 3 spherical three-day meet, on the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational in Wichita, Kansas. The first spherical will start Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with the Coyotes’ first tee time being 10:20 a.m.

Host: Wichita State University 

Dates: Sunday, October 5 – Tuesday, October 7 

Course: Sand Creek Station 

Course Par/Yardage: 72 / 7,187 yards 

Tee Times: 9:30 AM Tee Times Sunday, 8:30 AM Tee Times Monday, 8:30 AM Shotgun Start on Tuesday 

Format: Stroke Play, 54 holes being performed over three competitors days 

Teams: 17 groups

Last Time Out 

Holtz led wire-to-wire, carding rounds of 68-70-70 to complete at 5-under-par (208) and safe the match title. He was the one participant within the subject to shoot beneath par in all three rounds.  

The Coyotes posted workforce scores of 291-285-280 to complete at 4-over-par (856), surging into second place with a 4-under closing spherical, the bottom workforce scores of the match.  

Shoma Taguchi added a top-5 end of his personal, putting T-4 with rounds of 71-72-68 (-2). Parker Etzel, Cole Witherow, and Joe Rohlwing additionally contributed strong rounds to the Coyotes workforce whole.
