Pipers Swim & Dive Have Strong Startwork At First Meet

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Hamline University Men’s and Women’s Swim & Dive groups competed at residence of their first meet of the season this morning. The males’s group competed solo however the girls’s group competed in opposition to Augsburg, whom they beat by a rating of 78-18 to win the twin. 

MEN

Kevin Bossou competed as a solo diver within the 1 and 3-meter diving occasions. Bossou scored 141.95 within the 1-meter diving occasion and 95.70 within the 3-meter. 

The relay group of Matias Vega, Gus Shaffer, Tristan Popa, and Declue gained the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:55.95. 

WOMEN

Audri Freese competed because the solo diver within the 1 and 3-meter diving occasions. Freese scored 117.55 within the 1-meter occasion, whereas scoring 59.65 within the 3-meter.

In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Hamline relay group of Kat Kocher, Nicole Phillips, Ryann Hopp, and Brooke Frederick took first with a time of two:09.26. 

In the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, the Pipers group of Hopp, Frederick, Cori Dawson, and Minerva Uribe-Cardenas completed first with a time of 1:54.81. 

Finally, within the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, the Pipers completed first with the time of 4:41:29 with the group of Uribe-Cardenas, Case Skaja, Kate Watson, and Bella Stadheim. 

The Pipers Swim & Dive groups will likely be again in motion subsequent weekend with the Hamline Diving Invite at Bush Pool Center at 10 AM on October 11 and the St. Catherine Pentathlon at 11 AM in St. Paul at St. Kate’s on October 11.
