SCSU Girls’s Swimming and Diving Locations Second at Fairfield Invitational

FAIRFIELD, CONN– Southern Connecticut girls’s swimming and diving positioned second on the Fairfield Invitational, scoring 403 factors. 

1 Meter Diving

Lexi Dominguez positioned eighth scoring 131.45 factors, following her was Lakshimi Garofalo in ninth at 118.80. 

200 Meter Medley Relay

A Southern Connecticut relay crew consisting of Julia Pitchell, Ally Quitos, Aralyn Vogel and Reina Loiacano positioned fourth with a time of two:08.69. Another Southern Connecticut relay crew of Lexi Dominguez, Rachael Bing, Claire Hanna and Emily Denise positioned sixth with a time of two:13.80. 

800 Meter Freestyle

Paola Castilo positioned third with a time of 9:53.73. Kali Dominguez positioned fifth with a time of 10:02.35

200 Meter Freestyle

Molly Kennedy positioned third with a time of two:12.07. Sierra DuCharne positioned seventh with a time of two:17.88. 

100 Meter Backstroke

Abby Lyons positioned fourth at 1:09.98. Julia Pitchell positioned seventh at 1:10.88. 

100 Meter Breastroke 

Jillian Pitchell positioned seventh with a time of 1:23.11. Bing completed eighth at 1:23.30. 

200 Meter Butterfly

Jasmine Uricchio positioned fourth at 2:32.47, following her was Hanna at 2:40.63. 

50 Meter Freestyle

Jilian Pitchell positioned seventh at 29.49. Uricchio positioned ninth at 29.86. 

100 Meter Freestyle 

Kennedy positioned second with a time of 1:00.73. Loiacano completed eighth at 1:04.25. 

200 Meter Backstroke 

Vogel positioned fourth at 2:30.69. Zoe McNeil positioned sixth at 2:36.87 

200 Meter Breaststroke

Ellie Baker positioned third with a time of two:48.53. Quitos positioned sixth at 2:52.71. 

400 Meter Freestyle

Ava Emmerich positioned fifth with a time of 4:54.78, following her was DuCharme in sixth at 4:58.36. 

100 Meter Butterfly

Kennedy positioned fifth at 1:08.12, following her was Sara Roney at 1:10.72. 

200 Meter Individual Medley (IM)

Lyons completed seventh at 2:34.69, following her Emma St Hillaire positioned eighth at 2:35.03. 

400 Meter Freestyle Relay 

A Southern Connecticut relay crew of Kennedy, Jilian Pitchell, Castillo and Uricchio positioned third at 4:16.84. Another Southern Connecticut relay crew of Baker, Kali Dominguez, Garofalo and McNeil positioned sixth at 4:22.81. 

Southern Connecticut is again in motion once they host Central Connecticut State and Wagner on Oct. 31 at 5:00pm on the Hutchinson Natatorioum.
