SCSU Men’s Swimming and Diving Place Third at Fairfield Invitational

FAIRFIELD, CONN.— Southern Connecticut Men’s swimming & diving positioned third on the Fairfield Invitational, scoring 246 factors. 

1 Meter Diving

Elliot Speckhard positioned third scoring 191.60, following him was Cole Mullarkey in fourth at 170.75. 

3 Meter Diving

Speckhard positioned third with scoring 187.15 factors, following him was Mullarkey in fourth scoring 141.85. 

200 Meter Medley Relay 

A Southern Connecticut relay crew of Sean Bailey, Jack Simmons, Mason Durant and Daniel Lazar positioned sixth with a time of 1:55.21. Another Southern Connecticut crew of Kris Janney, Kendrick Lagamo, Jacob Tanner and Dylan Prescher positioned eighth with a time of two:00.55. 

800 Meter Freestyle 

Samir Souidi positioned fifth with a time of 9:04.68, following him in sixth was Richie Hall at 9:24.71. 

200 Meter Freestyle

Aiden Kennedy positioned eighth with a time of two:02.84, adopted by Prescher in ninth at 2:02.85 

100 Meter Backstroke

Alexander Ahrens completed twelfth with a time of 1:10.69 

100 Meter Breastroke

Janney positioned ninth at 1:12.01, following him was Travis Scott in tenth at 1:13.45. 

200 Meter Butterfly

Lucas Quiroga positioned sixth with a time of two:17.59 and Zach Krantz positioned ninth at 2:22.85. 

50 Meter Freestyle

Ben Frazer positioned fifth with a time of 24.81. Hall positioned thirteenth with a tme of 25.94. 

100 Meter Freestyle

Kennedy positioned seventh with a time of 56.45. Durant completed tenth at 57.62. 

200 Meter Backstroke 

Vincent Roney completed seventh at 2:18.42, following him in eighth was Janney at 2:18.62. 

200 Meter Breaststroke 

Samuel Whitaker positioned sixth with a time of two:37.55. Lagamao positioned eighth at 2:49.81. 

400 Meter Freestyle

Prescher positioned seventh with a time of 4:24.93. Quiroga positioned ninth at 4:27.39. 

100 Meter Butterfly

Lazar positioned eighth at 1:00.58. Following him was Kennedy in twelfth at 1:02.51. 

200 Meter Individual Medley (IM) 

Hall positioned eighth with a time of two:18.04. Following him, was Souidi in eleventh at 2:20.08. 

400 Meter Freestyle Relay

A Southern Connecticut relay crew consisting of Jack Fry, Travis Scott, Daniel Lazar and Ben Frazer positioned fifth with a time of three:43.64. Another Southern Connecticut Relay crew of Samir Souidi, Dylan Prescher, Aiden Kennedy and Lucas Quiroga positioned seventh at 3:51.78. 

Southern Connecticut is again in motion once they host Central Connecticut State and Wagner on Oct. 31 at 5:00pm on the Hutchinson Natatorioum.
