Dublin City chosen to hitch Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative

Dublin City Council is delighted to have been chosen to hitch the inaugural class of the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative, the first-ever skilled management and administration programme designed particularly for the area’s mayors and municipal officers. 

Cities from 17 totally different nations, serving over 21 million residents, have been chosen to take part within the initiative. 

Established and led by Bloomberg Philanthropies along with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative will likely be delivered by LSE Cities in collaboration with the Hertie School in Berlin. Together, we can bring mayors and senior officials the tools, training, and peer networks they need to take on their biggest challenges – and succeed.”

Through the nine-month intensive classroom, field-based, and capacity-building coaching, Dublin City will be taught evidence-backed methods from world-class school, researchers, and coverage leaders on the way to drive efficiency, work throughout departments, mobilize collaborations, and marshal options that ship tangible outcomes for residents.

This is precisely what the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative will help provide.”

To kick off their participation in a four-day convening starting in the present day in London, Dublin City will obtain keynote instruction and interact with international specialists from Bloomberg Philanthropies, LSE, the Hertie School, UCL IIPP, and fellow friends together with: Michael R. Bloomberg, 108th mayor of New York City and founding father of Bloomberg L.P. and Bloomberg Philanthropies; Mayor Sadiq Khan of London, UK; Professor Ricky Burdett, Director of LSE Cities and the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative; Professor Dr. Andrea Römmele, Dean of Executive Education and Professor of Communication in Politics and Civil Society on the Hertie School; and extra. 

Two prime officers chosen by Richard Shakespeare will start their participation within the Initiative in December with an immersive classroom expertise in Berlin. Through this system, these officers will even assist Richard Shakespeare in overseeing a ten-member metropolis staff that can develop an revolutionary method to unravel a urgent, resident-facing problem.
