‘Cats Host SIU, Miami (OH) to Open 2025-26 Season

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern swimming and diving is about to open its 2025-26 season on Saturday, Oct. 11, because it hosts Southern Illinois and Miami (OH) at 11 a.m. CT inside Norris Aquatics Center. 

NORTHWESTERN NOTABLES

The Wildcat ladies are receiving votes (4) within the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Top 25 Dual Meet Poll.

Four Wildcats had been named to the 2025-26 Big Ten Swimmers and Divers to Watch List. Stuart Seymour and Kyle Ly represented Northwestern on the boys’s listing, whereas Ekaterina Nikonova and Isabella Chen represented the ‘Cats on the ladies’s listing. 

The ‘Cats despatched a powerful 15 student-athletes to characterize Northwestern at 2025 NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Wash. Northwestern returns 13 of these Wildcats for the 2025-26 season.

This previous offseason, the Wildcat teaching employees welcomed the additions of Matthew Lowe and Mario McDonald as assistant coaches and Olivia Rosendahl as a diving graduate assistant forward of the 2025-26 season.

SERIES HISTORY

The Wildcats swept Miami (OH) final season, defeating the RedHawks 203-97 on each the boys’s and ladies’s sides in Evanston on Oct. 12, 2024. The ‘Cats final competed towards the Salukis in 2023, sweeping SIU by scores of 207-89 on the boys’s aspect and 197-102 on the ladies’s aspect on Oct. 21, 2023.

UP NEXT

Northwestern will journey to Notre Dame on Friday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. CT earlier than dealing with off with Michigan and UCLA (ladies’s solely) on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. CT.
