AU Swimmers, Divers Earn 9 Titles To Shut Oberlin Early Invite

To shut out the 2025-26 season-opening Oberlin Early Invite on Saturday (Oct. 11), Ashland University’s males’s and ladies’s swimmers and divers mixed for 9 first-place finishes.
 
Sophomore Yasmim Tomita was a person champion in each the ladies’s 100-yard backstroke (57.69 seconds) and ladies’s 200 again (2:06.89), and teamed up with senior Colleen Cox and juniors Hannah Yemec and Payton O’Toole to win the ladies’s 200 medley relay in 1:49.05.

FIFTH PLACE – Collins within the males’s 100 again (53.10 seconds), Basile within the males’s 1,650 free (16:56.18), senior Mary Kate Prall within the ladies’s 200 again (2:17.01), Rowland in males’s 1-meter diving (128.00 factors), freshman Trei Durstine within the males’s 100 free (47.86 seconds), sophomore Ella Howard in ladies’s 1-meter diving (176.05 factors) and the ladies’s 800 free relay of freshmen Katelyn Claugus and Joselyn Hensley, Prall and junior Payton Meyer (8:57.91).
