Swimming Wraps Up Akron Zips Classic

AKRON, Ohio – Xavier swimming wrapped up the Akron Zips Classic on Saturday at Ocasek Nataorium in Akron, Ohio, amassing 5 first-place finishes as the ladies positioned second and the boys completed third.

Xavier is again in motion on Friday, Oct. 24, when the Musketeers tackle NKU, set for a 5:00 p.m. begin on the Kenton County Aquatic Center in Taylor Mill, Ky. The Musketeers return to the pool on Saturday, Oct. 25, touring to Denison to tackle the Big Red at 1:00 p.m. on the Trumbull Aquatic Center in Granville, Ohio.

 

WOMEN’s NOTABLE

• Norah Simich, Maddy Lathrop, Abbey Fish and Olivia Oyster opened up the morning session with a time of 1:34.87 within the 200 free relay.
• Ava Tenhundfeld positioned third within the 400 IM with a time of 4:30.49.
• Norah Simich led Xavier within the 100 fly with a time of 55.32.
• Olivia Oyster positioned second within the 200 free with a time of 1:51.64. Abby Bocian positioned third, ending in a time of 1:52.34.
• Jordyn Libler set a time of 1:01.51 within the 100 breast, inserting second.
• Abby Bocian led Xavier within the 100 again with a time of 56.37.
• The Musketeer girls had been in second place with 463 factors after the morning session.
• Abby Bocian, Jordyn Libler, Norah Simich and Olivia Oyster set a time of 1:42.36 within the 200 medley relay, inserting second to open the night session.
• Teegan Madara led Xavier within the mile, setting a time of 17:16.00.
• Emma Tenhundfeld led the Musketeers within the 200 again, setting a time of two:04.29.
• Olivia Oyster gained the 100 free with a time of 49.91.
• Jordyn Libler took first within the 200 breast with a time of two:16.15.
• Norah Simich positioned first within the 200 fly with a time of two:00.11.
• Abbey Fish, Maddy Lathrop, Norah Simich and Olivia Oyster set a time of three:29.20 within the 400 free relay to shut out the meet
• Xavier completed with 777 factors, inserting second within the workforce standings, trailling Akron, however topping Cleveland State, Youngstown State and Denison.
