VB: Cowgirls Journey To NW State Wednesday

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball (5-13, 1-5 SLC) will cut up its two Southland Conference matches this week, each on the highway and at dwelling.  The Cowgirls will journey to Natchitoches to tackle Northwestern State (1-19, 0-6 SLC) for a uncommon Wednesday match.  First serve is ready for six:30 p.m.  The match will stream on ESPN+.
 

McNeese will return dwelling on Saturday, Oct. 18 to host East Texas A&M in an 11 a.m. match, the primary of three straight dwelling matches.

• Coming off dwelling losses to Lamar and Stephen F. Austin final week
• Saturday’s match would be the begin of three straight dwelling matches and 5 of the final six dwelling matches
• McNeese opened the SLC schedule with its first 4 matches on the highway
• McNeese’s lone convention win so far was a 3-2 highway win at New Orleans on Sept. 27.
• Head coach Sasha Karelov is in her fourth season with the Cowgirls and is one win shy of fifty profession wins.
• D’Nari Mills continues to steer the crew with 174 kills and is second on the crew with 159 digs
• Kayla Wilson is second on the crew with 172 kills and has recorded double determine kills within the final 5 matches together with a season excessive 22 kills towards Lamar on Oct. 9.  Wilson ranks second within the SLC with 4.10 kills per set in convention matches.
• Ava Henry leads the crew with a .265 hitting p.c and is third on the crew in kills (140) and second in blocks (34).
• Kinga Ziolkowska leads the crew in assists (352) and repair aces (16)
• Jordan Gamble leads the crew with 38 blocks.
• McNeese returns three gamers from final season (seniors Kayla Wilson and Lauren Fuller and sophomore Corynne Hausler).
• The 2025 Cowgirl roster consists of 15 newcomers together with eight freshmen.
 
ABOUT NORTHWESTERN STATE

• Are 1-19 general and 0-6 within the SLC
• Lone win of the season was a 3-2 win over Tennessee State in its season opener
