Takuseviciute Earns Swimmer of the Week Honors Behind 5 Win Efficiency

Bowling Green, KY – Patriots’ swimmer Ugne Takuseviciute earned MSC Women’s Swimmer of the Week honors after posting 5 wins over two meets. It marks her first swimmer of the week honor.

In the season opener in opposition to Shawnee State, Takuseviciute clocked a 5:19.44 to win the five hundred free.  That time clipped the NAIA provisional reduce by eight seconds and is the third quickest 500 free within the NAIA this season.  The sophomore adopted that up being a part of Cumberlands profitable 200 free relay that went 1:42.00.

The sophomore adopted that up by notching a trio of wins in opposition to the Blue Raiders.  She started the meet by pulling away from the sector to clock a 1:58.22 to win the 200 free.  That time ranks fifth within the NAIA this season.  The Siauliai, Lithuania native adopted that up by clocking a provisional time of 54.59 to win the 100 free.  Takuseviciute closed out the meet on UC’s profitable 200 free relay that completed with a time of 1:42.40. 

UC returns to the water Friday, October 31, after they journey to Greencastle, IN to face DePauw University in a two-day meet. The meet is about to start at 5 p.m.
