Wolverhampton Art Gallery to indicate world-renowned wildlife pictures

Wolverhampton Art Gallery is internet hosting the 2025 Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition later this month – the primary time the present crop of photographs has been on show exterior of London.

The winners of the world-renowned competitors were announced last week and the pictures shall be on present within the metropolis from 25 October till 25 January 2026.

The images could be on large-scale lightboxes accompanied by an atmospheric soundscape evoking the environments captured within the photographs, the gallery mentioned.

Kathy Moran, chair of the competitors’s jury, mentioned: “There is nothing more rewarding or moving than seeing our relationship to the natural world, in all its complexity and splendour, shared on the world’s biggest platform for wildlife photography.”

There had been 19 winners in classes for younger folks and adults.

Dr Doug Gurr, director of the Natural History Museum, which runs the competitors, mentioned: “Now in its 61st year, we are thrilled to continue Wildlife Photographer of the Year as a powerful platform for visual storytelling, showing the diversity, beauty and complexity of the natural world and humanity’s relationship to it.”

Chris Burden, City of Wolverhampton Council cupboard member for growth, jobs and abilities, mentioned: “We’re proud to welcome back the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition to Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

“I encourage everybody, particularly our younger individuals who can go to free of charge, to come back and be impressed by the facility of images.”
