Photographers to debate pictures and actuality at Library

WESTPORT–Three photographers with totally different missions – fixing crimes, bringing house breaking information of the world and spotlighting odd individuals – will talk about how their pictures seize their worlds at The Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m.

Entitled Seeing is Deceiving: A Search for Visual Perspective, the presentation is the ten^th annual TEA (thinkers, educators, artists) Talk offered by the Westport Arts Advisory Committee. The occasion is open to the general public and freed from cost, however organizers ask that these focused on attending register in advance.

Photographer, photograph educator and curator Art Nager will average the dialogue with:

Exhibited extensively throughout New York and Connecticut, together with his acclaimed CUBA sequence, Butch Quick’s images turns odd moments into timeless reflections of the human spirit.

Artist Miggs Burroughs will introduce the occasion with a visible overview of this system, and poet laureate Donna Disch will recite a poem in honor of the subject.

“In today’s world, everyone holds tightly to their truth,” the announcement for the occasion says. “Is there such a thing as a universal truth in a photograph? Or is it determined by the eye looking through the viewfinder?”
