College students’ favourite fall actions – Iowa State Day by day

As the temperatures drop and leaves flip crimson and gold, college students throughout campus are embracing their favourite fall actions.

For sophomore advertising and marketing main Morgan Ratliff, fall means outings and time spent with associates. 

“The fall makes me want to go thrifting,” Ratliff stated. “I like to walk around campus looking at the trees changing colors.” 

Beyond the altering nature, Ratliff stated she enjoys the joys of the spooky season. 

“I like going to haunted houses with my friends and watching them get scared,” Ratliff stated. “It’s like a bonding experience. I like going to Des Moines for it because they have a lot of good options. My friends and I also like watching scary movies together around Halloween.”

Reese Janke, a sophomore majoring in accounting, stated she enjoys the peaceable nature of fall. 

“I like drinking a pumpkin chai latte and walking around neighborhoods and campus and watching the leaves change colors,” Janke stated.

Ava Post, a junior majoring in finance and accounting, makes a visit to the orchard every fall.

“I really like going to orchards and pumpkin patches,” Post stated. “I really like being able to pick my own pumpkins.” 

Post stated she additionally enjoys celebrating the season by making an attempt fall sweets. 

“I like trying different types of caramel apples and fall treats,” Post stated.

Whether it’s sipping pumpkin-flavored drinks, discovering the right pumpkin or screaming via haunted homes with associates, the season presents one thing for everybody.
