KĀ’ANAPALI, Maui – The University of Hawai’i males’s golf staff is tied for eighth place after the primary spherical of the Kā’anapali Classic by OUTRIGGER, Monday on the Royal Kā’anapali Course.
The Rainbow Warriors, who carded an 8-under 276, have been led by Maui natives Anson Cabello and Chris Salem. Cabello was UH’s prime finisher at 4-under 67 and is tied for 10th whereas Salem shot 3-under 68 and is tied for twenty-fourth.
Oklahoma leads the staff standings at 21-under 262 adopted by TCU (267), North Florida (272), Boise State (273), and Georgia (273). Individually, Oklahoma’s Jase Summy is atop the leaderboard at 9-under 62 adopted by teammate Ryder Cowan at 7-under 64.
Also competing for the Rainbow Warriors are James Whitworth (70, t-51st), Dane Watanabe (71, t-72nd), and Nathan Szpakowicz (72, t-85th).
Three different ‘Bows are competing as people – Cameron Combado (76, t-108th), Alec Hilgers (78, 117th), and Quinn Murray (79, 118th).
