Toledo Closes Out Fall Season at French Broad Collegiate Invitational

ARDEN, N.C. – The Toledo girls’s golf workforce concluded its fall season on Tuesday with an eighth-place end on the French Broad Collegiate Invitational. The match hosted by UNC-Asheville at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove was marred by inclement climate with Monday’s play suspended lower than midway by way of the opening spherical.

Sophomore Valeria Lizcano and freshman Alice Tonts led the Rockets by tying for 22^nd place at 14-over par on the par-72, 7,020-yard course.

Tonts registered UT’s finest spherical of the match with a five-over par 77 in Round One.

Toledo will open its spring season on Feb. 10-11 on the BGSU Women’s Intercollegiate in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
