Herd Trio Earns SBC All-Conference at 2025 Cross Country Championships

FOLEY, Ala. – Marshall Cross Country competed Friday morning on the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships, with Brady Dawkins and Justin Lipscomb incomes All-Conference standing on the boys’s aspect, whereas senior Hannah Wyler garnered First Team All-Conference to guide Marshall’s ladies. 

“Hannah Wyler, Justin Lipscomb, and Brady Dawkins all had elite performances today,” Director Keith Roberts mentioned. “I was proud of the way they competed. They have been consistent all year and it’s nice to see them walk away with some hardware.”

Wyler completed seventh total with a time of 17:25, a brand new 5K PR for the senior from Mineral City, Ohio. She turns into the Herd’s third runner within the SBC period to earn a number of All-Conference awards. Wyler joins Abby Herring and Kylee Mastin as the 2 All-SBC First Team runners as nicely.    

Dawkins and Lipscomb every earned their first All-Conference honors, changing into the primary Herd males to take action since 2023. With an eleventh place end, Lipscomb earned All-SBC Second Team together with his PR time of 24:32. “Our men’s and women’s teams have shown great growth and the three All-Conference shows what we are capable of doing as a team,” Roberts added. “We had big goals this year and even though we didn’t finish where we planned, we have a lot of returners coming back. We have regionals in a couple weeks and I look forward to seeing how we respond. I have no doubt we’ll have some great performances.”
