Arizona Sweeps No. 13 TCU

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona swept No. 13 TCU in McKale on Friday night time to enhance to 12-9 (6-5 Big 12) on the season.  
 
The Wildcats tallied eight blocks to carry the Horned Frogs to a .135 hitting proportion. Arizona served six aces and tallied 41 kills to upset TCU. Jordan Wilson totaled 14 kills to guide the offense and Adrianna Bridges adopted with a profession excessive with 11 kills and a .714 clip. Journey Tucker led the protection with six blocks and Renee Jones had 5 blocks.
 
Arizona gained the primary set, 25-16. The Wildcats jumped out to a 13-4 result in management the set and held the Horned Frogs to a .167 hitting proportion. Bridges tallied 5 kills and hit 1.000 to guide the assault. Carlie Cisneros, Jones, and Wilson added two kills every to assist Arizona management the opening set.
 
The Wildcats took a 2-0 lead with a 25-23 win within the second set. In a back-and-forth second set, Arizona took the lead at 23-22 to shut out the set. Arizona totaled 4 blocks led by Tucker and Jones to beat TCU within the set. Offensively, Wilson had 5 kills whereas Bridges and Cisneros had three kills every.
 
Arizona gained the match with a 26-24 win within the third set. The Wildcats fought again from a four-point deficit to take the lead at 25-24 and Wilson secured the sweep with a kill. Wilson tallied seven kills to guide Arizona. Bridges and Cisneros had three kills every whereas Jones added two kills for the Cats.
 
Arizona will host BYU subsequent Wednesday, November 5 and Texas Tech on Friday, November 7 in McKale Center.
