Stanford’s Aikey, Pitt’s Reisz Named ACC Women’s Soccer Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Stanford senior ahead Jasmine Aikey has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, whereas Pitt redshirt-junior goalkeeper Abby Reisz was chosen because the Defensive Player of the Week for matches performed on the ultimate day of the common season.

OFFENSIVE – Jasmine Aikey, Sr., F, Stanford (Palo Alto, California)

• Registered two objectives and two assists in an 8-2 victory over in-state rival California on Thursday.
• The six-point effort is essentially the most factors by a Stanford participant in a match this season and essentially the most for the reason that Cardinal joined the ACC previous to the 2024 season.
• Recorded her sixth profession match with not less than one purpose and one help.
• The brace was her third of the season and sixth multi-goal match of her collegiate profession.

DEFENSIVE – Abby Reisz, R-Jr., GK, Pitt (Upper Arlington, Ohio)

• Made six saves and shut out No. 1 Notre Dame, giving Pitt its first-ever win over a top-ranked staff on Thursday.
• The clear sheet marked the primary time the Fighting Irish have been held and not using a purpose this season.
• Grabbed 4 saves within the second half, together with three within the remaining quarter-hour to protect the shutout.
• The six saves have been essentially the most since tallying 9 towards Stanford on September 14.

Women’s Soccer Notes

• The bracket for the 2025 Ally ACC Women’s Soccer Championship was launched on Thursday, with top-seeded Stanford and second-seeded Notre Dame incomes first-round byes. The postseason begins Sunday, November 2, with first-round matchups on campus websites earlier than heading to First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park for the semifinals on Thursday, November 6, and the ultimate on Sunday, November 9.
• A nation-best eight ACC groups are ranked within the prime 25 of the most recent RPI, led by the highest three groups: No. 1 Virginia, No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Stanford.
• ACC groups closed the non-conference portion of the common season with 81 victories, tied for essentially the most amongst all conferences.
• ACC groups personal a 15-9-7 (.597) file towards peer Power Four convention opponents this season.
